Dr. Danielle DayDr. Day joined the team in May 2011 after having graduated from the DVM program at the University of Guelph. Since the spring of 2017, she jumped at the opportunity to lead the Doncaster team and became our Medical Director.
She has a strong passion for surgery, cardiology, dermatology, dentistry and preventative medicine. Dr. Day likes to keep up to date with the newest and most recent advancements in veterinary medicine through continuing education and participating in annual conferences.
The importance of the human-animal bond is the foundation of Dr. Day’s practice philosophy, which enables her to practice and maintain the highest standard of veterinary care and be a strong advocate for the Fear Free approach. Her passion extends to our client families, and she insures understanding and knowledge translation through fostering communication in a warm and friendly manner. Very simply, Dr. Day loves caring for your furry family member!
When Dr. Day can’t be found at the clinic, she is spending time with her family, reading, running and taking trips to the cottage. She also shares her home with her three cats; Tristan, Tauriel and Astro, Jack-Chi mix - Khyber, Husky mix - Apollo, as well as a Guinea Pig named Blossom.Medical Director & Veterinarian Dr. Lauren BrownellDr. Brownell graduated from Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She joined our team in August 2015 and has been happy to be working with a team devoted to practicing the current gold standard in veterinary medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Brownell enjoys spending time with her family, visiting their farm where they grow organic foods. She also enjoys participating in dog related activities, such as obedience, conformation, just to name a few.
Dr. Brownell shares her home with four Maine Coon cats; Hoku, Maui, Mahina and Ohana, Leonberger - Norman, Samoyed – Ellie, Eclectus Parrot - Ivan, Cockatiel - Echo, and a variety of saltwater fish.VeterinarianMorganMorgan joined the Doncaster team in August 2013. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Georgian College in October 2011 and became registered shortly after.
Since 2017, Morgan has been our Lead Veterinary Technician and has a strong interest in surgery, as well as inventory control. She enjoys providing quality care to our furry friends who can’t always tell us what is wrong and helping them feel as comfortable as possible through the Fear Free approach.
When she is not at the clinic, Morgan can be found spending quality time with her children and her adorable Corgi, Stanley!Registered Veterinary TechnicianAlysonAlyson has been a part of the Doncaster team since January 2015. She studied the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College and graduated in 2013, becoming registered shortly after.
For as long as she can remember, she has always wanted to work with animals and when she learned about the veterinary technician profession, she knew it was the job for her! Alyson loves
being able to help pets feel better through the various technical/nursing aspects of the job (for example: blood/urine collection, cytology and more).
Outside of the clinic, Alyson enjoys tending to her indoor garden, enjoying the aquarium hobby and spending time with her two dogs: Luke, a Galgo Espanol, and Aspen, a Jack-Chi mix.Registered Veterinary TechnicianMeaganMeagan joined our team at Doncaster Animal Clinic in April of 2013. She graduated from the Social Service Work program at Seneca College in 2011. The following year, she attended Mohawk College to expand her knowledge and love for working with animals. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and family but most importantly cuddling up with her two fur babies. A German Shepherd named Dakota and her cat Quasimodo. Sonny was adopted into the Doncaster Animal Clinic family in January 2016. His previous home, unfortunately, became unsuitable for him due to circumstances out of his control. He quickly adapted to life at the clinic and captured the hearts of our staff even quicker.
Sadly, on April 19, 2024, our dear Sonny crossed the Rainbow Bridge surrounded by all those who loved him. He is deeply missed by us all.DAC's Purrr-Patrol
CarmenCarmen joined the Doncaster team in October 2017. She has been working in the veterinary industry since 2007 and has gained much experience throughout her career.
She has a strong interest in Human Resources and enjoys the challenges that come with being a Practice Manager.
When not at the clinic, Carmen enjoys spending quality time with her family, reading, going on adventures and looking for new places to travel! She shares her home with a rambunctious Rottweiler mix named Bruno!Practice ManagerNickNick joined the Doncaster team in June 2019. He graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College in 2018, becoming registered shortly after. Originally wanting to be a veterinarian, once Nick was introduced to the technical/nursing side of the profession he quickly realized that it was the path for him.
Nick loves to advocate for his patients, providing them comfort through cuddles when time permits and enjoys the more technical tasks of a veterinary technician.
When not at the clinic, Nick is very passionate about fitness and nutrition. You can find him working out at the gym or in his basement kickboxing. He also enjoys music, including writing and playing the guitar.

Since being a part of our team, she enjoys greeting all our patients when they come for a visit. Outside of the clinic, Chayse spends her time with her adorable Yorkshire Terrier mix, Champ, as well as catching up on the latest shows and movies on Netflix!

She has a strong interest in learning more about the veterinary field and gain experience in hopes to one day go back to school to become a Veterinary Technician. She has a strong passion for helping animals and enjoys assisting unwell pets feel better throughout their stay at the clinic.
Outside of the clinic, Samantha likes to keep busy. You can find her going for hikes with her mixed breed dog, Bourbon, spending time with her Domestic Longhair cat, Loki, going to the gym, playing video games and is a very talented acrylic artist!Client Care RepresentativeLilithOur sweet Lilith (also known as Lily) was adopted in October 2020 from Toronto Cat Rescue. She unfortunately was having a difficult time finding a home due to a medical condition, however, we thought she would make a great addition to our team! Lilith quickly adapted to life at the clinic, and we were able to get her medical condition under control.

AndreaAndrea started helping our team in February 2021 as a locum RVT and in September 2021, she officially became a full-time team member! She graduated from Sheridan College’s Veterinary Technician program, becoming fully registered shortly after.
At a young age, Andrea always wanted to help animals. She has a special interest in critical care, neonatal care, neurology and diagnostic imaging. She underwent training for ultrasonography and is able to perform abdominal ultrasounds in clinic.
When not at the clinic, Andrea enjoys hiking, photography and sculpting. She shares her home with an adorable Parrotlet named Phi (pronounced fee), a German Shepherd mix named Zelda, as well as regularly helps to foster and raise orphaned neonatal puppies.Registered Veterinary TechnicianCharleeCharlee became a part of the Doncaster Animal Clinic team at the end of March 2022. She previously attended Seneca College for the Veterinary Assistant program and wants to continue her studies in veterinary medicine by going back to school in the future to become a Veterinary Technician. Since being at the clinic, she enjoys the atmosphere and helping all the pets who stop by for a visit. When not at the clinic, Charlee spends her time working out, hanging out with friends, and going to concerts. She shares her home with three cats; Theo, a British Shorthair/Scottish Fold mix, as well as, domestic shorthairs – Oatmeal and Mini Wheat!
Veterinary AssistantAlessiaAlesia joined the Doncaster team at the end of March 2022! She previously received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in music but decided that she wanted to gain experience and follow her passion for helping animals.
Since starting at the clinic, Alessia has developed a strong interest in surgery and inventory, as well as making sure each patient that comes for a visit is comfortable!

Veterinary AssistantDr. Kelvin ChanDr. Kelvin Chan joined DAC as an associate veterinarian in September 2022. He was born in Hong Kong and had dogs throughout his childhood. As an only child, his dogs became like siblings, so when they became sick it was hard for Dr. Chan. This sparked his interest in wanting to become a veterinarian. As he gained experience, he discovered the joy of helping pets and watching them recover, which continues to motivate him to keep learning.
Dr. Chan decided to move from Hong Kong to Australia, which is where he completed his veterinary medicine schooling and graduated from the University of Melbourne in December 2021. He then decided it was time for another change in scenery and moved to Canada for the snow!
He connected with us here at DAC and was instantly drawn to our Fear Free practices, AAHA accreditation, as well as our emphasis on preventative medicine! Because of this Dr. Chan was excited to start his career here and further his knowledge of general practice, as well as his passion for internal medicine!
When not at the clinic, Dr. Chan enjoys playing basketball, cycling, reading, and/or drumming. He is also a big coffee lover! He is fluent in Cantonese and also speaks some Mandarin!
He shares his home with a Samoyed/Japanese Spitz mix named Kiro, who traveled with Dr. Chan all the way from Australia! They enjoy going for daily walks together to the park and her life’s motto is “eat, sleep, repeat!”
VeterinarianMarysaMarysa joined the Doncaster team in August 2022, looking to gain more insight into the different roles of veterinary medicine as she is considering studying a veterinary related program.
She loves spending time with animals and learning more about their health and wellness needs!
While not at the clinic, Marysa can be found crocheting, reading, journaling or spending time with her beloved pets! She currently shares her home with her rabbit - Lena, Miniature Schnauzer - Gordo, Rottweiler mix - Shiloh, as well as chickens!Client Care RepresentativeAshley Levin Ashley joined our team as a Veterinary Technician in September 2022. Since she was young, Ashley has had a passion for helping animals.
Unsure which area of veterinary medicine she wanted to go into, Ashley attended the University of Guelph’s Veterinary Office Administration program and graduated in 2020. She volunteered here at DAC for a period of time to get more familiar with the different roles within the clinic. She then decided to return to school, studying the Veterinary Technician program at Georgian College. She graduated in 2022 and is currently working towards being registered.
Ashley has been enjoying her time at the clinic – gaining more and more experience each day. She has a passion for phlebotomy (performing blood draws), dentistry, caring for hospitalized patients and ensuring all pets are comfortable during their stay with us.
Outside of the clinic, Ashley enjoys completing puzzles, rock climbing and spending time with her friends, family and her beloved pets! She currently shares her home with her three Domestic Shorthair cats – Kalvin, Kallie and Bosco; as well as her Domestic Longhair Cat - Kosmo!Veterinary TechnicianDr. MelodiDr. Melodi Cheung began helping our team as a locum veterinarian in January 2024. After several months of providing exceptional care, she officially joined us as a full-time veterinarian in October.
Dr. Melodi graduated from Guelph University in 2021 with a degree in veterinary medicine. She is dedicated to her patients and finds joy in every aspect of veterinary medicine. From routine check-ups to surgery, she is passionate about ensuring the health and well-being of every patient and providing the best care possible. She is also fluent in Cantonese!
When not at the clinic, Dr. Melodi can be found baking, crafting, or spending time with her beloved pets. She shares her home with two cats; Exotic Shorthair – Tochi, Domestic Shorthair – Toby, two dogs; Cockapoo – Teddy, Toy Poodle – Simba, and two turtles!VeterinarianDagnyDagny joined our team in April 2024 looking to gain more experience in the veterinary field as she may study to become a veterinary technician one day.
