Dr. Danielle Day
Dr. Day joined the team in May, 2011 after having graduated from the DVM program at the University of Guelph. Since then, Dr. Day has been a lead veterinarian at the clinic and in the spring of 2017, Dr. Day jumped at the opportunity to lead the Doncaster team. She has since been working as the Medical Director of the Doncaster Animal Clinic.
She has a strong passion for surgery and keeps up to-date with the newest and most recent advancements in veterinary medicine and surgery through continuing education. In 2011, Dr. Day completed the top continuing education course in dental surgery. She also has a special interest in cardiology, dermatology and preventative medicine and participates in annual conferences and is an advocate of the fear-free approach.
The importance of the human-animal bond is the foundation of Dr. Day's practice philosophy, which enables her to practice and maintain the highest standard of veterinary medical care. Her passion extends to our client families and she insures understanding and knowledge translation through fostering communication in a warm and friendly manner. Very simply, Dr. Day absolutely loves caring for your furry family member.
When Dr. Day can't be found at Doncaster, she is spending time with her husband, Hrvoje, and two children, Luka and Arwyn. Dr. Day's family also includes her sheltie, Kammy, her Jack-Chi, Khyber, and 2 black cats, Tristan and Tauriel. When she has a spare moment she also greatly enjoys family trips to the cottage, running and reading.

Dr. Lauren Brownell
Graduated in 2008 from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, and has since been working in small animal medicine, joining our team in August of 2015. She is happy to be working with a team devoted to offering the current gold standard in veterinary medicine. She has a special interest in behaviour and preventative medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Brownell enjoys time spent with her husband, Kyle, and daughters, Joscelyn and Olyvia, here in Thornhill as well as up at their farm where they grow wild and organic foods. The whole family loves to participate in dog related activities such as, obedience, conformation, carting, and skijoring, just to name a few. Currently, they share their home with a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog (Vern), a Leonberger (Larry), a Ragdoll cat (Tia), an Eclectus parrot (Ivan), a cockatiel (Luna), and a variety of saltwater fish.

Morgan
Morgan joined the Doncaster team in August of 2013. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Georgian College in October of 2011. She enjoys providing quality care to our furry friends who can't always tell us what is wrong. She has taken on the role of Lead Technician since 2017 and has a strong interest in surgery and inventory control. When she is not at the clinic she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son and her very cute corgi, Stanley.

Alyson
Alyson has been a part of the Doncaster Animal Clinic team since January 2015. She studied the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College and graduated in 2013. For as long as she could remember she wanted to work with animals and when she learned about the veterinary technician profession, she new it was the job for her! She loves being able to help pets feel better and also enjoys the more technical side of the job as well. When she's not in the clinic, Alyson can be found enjoying the aquarium hobby or relaxing at her cottage with her family and two dogs. She currently shares her home with Luke (a rescue Galgo Espanol from Spain), Aspen (Jack Chi), Oakley (rescue domestic longhaired cat) and her two Betta fish, Gillbert and Petunia! She is looking forward to adopting more fish in the near future!

Meagan joined our team at Doncaster Animal Clinic in April of 2013. She graduated from the Social Service Work program at Seneca College in 2011. The following year, she attended Mohawk College to expand her knowledge and love for working with animals. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and family but most importantly cuddling up with her two fur babies. A German Shepherd named Dakota and her cat Quasimodo.

Sonny was adopted into the Doncaster Animal Clinic family in January 2016. His previous home, unfortunately became unsuited for him due to circumstances out of his control. He quickly adapted to life at the clinic and captured the hearts of our staff even quicker! He is a handsome buff, domestic long-hair who likes to make his presence known. He enjoys long conversations with staff members, lounging on their laps or desks, exploring the clinic and demanding everyone's attention! Carmen
Carmen began her veterinary career in 2007 as a front office manager in an Animal Hospital in downtown Toronto. Soon thereafter, Carmen excelled in her position before being promoted to Practice Administrator and now she has recently joined our Doncaster Family as our Practice Manager.
Carmen who enjoys the challenges as a Practice Manager, also enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. When she’s not on an adventure with one of them, she enjoys quiet time reading a book. She also loves to travel and is looking to add more tales to her already vast repertoire of fun vacation stories.
While she doesn’t currently have any pets, Carmen still has fond memories of her elderly cat and hopes to welcome a four legged friend into her household once her and her husband can agree on the feline vs. canine debate.

Nick joined the Doncaster team in June 2019. He graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College in 2018. Originally wanting to be a veterinarian, once Nick was introduced to the technical/nursing side of the profession he quickly realized that it was the path for him. Nick loves to advocate for his patients, providing them comfort through cuddles when time permits and enjoys the more technical tasks of a veterinary technician. When not in the clinic, Nick is very passionate about fitness and nutrition. You can find him working out at a gym or in his basement kickboxing. He also enjoys music, including writing and playing guitar. Nick shares his home with a beautiful Golden Retriever, Harley and betta fish, Adore.

Chayse
Wanting to learn more and gain experience in the veterinary field, Chayse joined the Doncaster Animal Clinic team in September 2021. Since being a part of our team, she enjoys greeting all our patients when they come for a visit. She also has an interest in learning more about the different medications used to help our furry patients feel better! Outside of the clinic, Chayse spends her time with her adorable Yorkshire Terrier mix, Champ, as well as catching up on the latest shows and movies on Netflix!

Samantha became a part of the Doncaster team in March 2022. She has a strong interest in learning more about the veterinary field and gain experience for when she goes back to school to study the Veterinary Technician program. She has a strong passion for helping animals and enjoys assisting unwell pets feel better throughout their stay at the clinic. Samantha keeps busy outside of the clinic with her Cane Corso, Stormi, and recently adopted kitten, Rain! She also enjoys playing video games and is a very talented acrylic artist.

Lilith
Our sweet Lilith was adopted in October 2020 from Toronto Cat Rescue. She unfortunately was having a difficult time finding a home due to a medical condition, however, we thought she would make a great addition to our family! Lilith quickly adapted to life at the clinic and we were able to get her medical condition under control. Though it took a bit of time, she and our other clinic cat, Sonny have become good friends! Lilith loves spending her time seeking attention and affection from our staff, lounging in various places throughout our office, and eating!

Andrea
Andrea started helping out the Doncaster team in February 2021 as a locum RVT. In September 2021, she officially became a full-time team member! She graduated from Sheridan College’s Veterinary Technician program, becoming fully registered shortly after. At a young age, Andrea always wanted to help animals and has a special interest in critical care, neurology, and diagnostic imaging. When not at the clinic, Andrea enjoys photography, as well as sculpting. She shares her home with an adorable Parrotlet, Phi (pronounced fee), and Doberman, Arya.

Charlee
Charlee became a part of the Doncaster Animal Clinic team at the end of March 2022. She previously attended Seneca College for the Veterinary Assistant program and wants to continue her studies in veterinary medicine by going back to school in the future to become a Veterinary Technician. Since being at the clinic, she enjoys the atmosphere and helping all the pets who stop by for a visit. When not at the clinic, Charlee spends her time working out, hanging out with friends, and going to concerts. She shares her home with three cats; Theo, a British Shorthair/Scottish Fold mix, as well as, domestic shorthairs – Oatmeal and Mini Wheat!

Dr. Kelvin Chan
Dr. Kelvin Chan joined DAC as an associate veterinarian in September 2022. He was born in Hong Kong and had dogs throughout his childhood. As an only child, his dogs became like siblings, so when they became sick it was hard for Dr. Chan. This sparked his interest in wanting to become a veterinarian. As he gained experience, he discovered the joy of helping pets and watching them recover, which continues to motivate him to keep learning.
Dr. Chan decided to move from Hong Kong to Australia, which is where he completed his veterinary medicine schooling and graduated from the University of Melbourne in December 2021. He then decided it was time for another change in scenery and moved to Canada for the snow!
He connected with us here at DAC and was instantly drawn to our Fear Free practices, AAHA accreditation, as well as our emphasis on preventative medicine! Because of this Dr. Chan was excited to start his career here and further his knowledge of general practice, as well as his passion for internal medicine!
When not at the clinic, Dr. Chan enjoys playing basketball, cycling, reading, and/or drumming. He is also a big coffee lover! He is fluent in Cantonese and also speaks some Mandarin!
He shares his home with a Samoyed/Japanese Spitz mix named Kiro, who traveled with Dr. Chan all the way from Australia! They enjoy going for daily walks together to the park and her life’s motto is “eat, sleep, repeat!”

Ashley Levin
Ashley joined our team as a veterinary technician in September 2022. Since she was young, Ashley had a passion for helping animals.
Unsure which area of veterinary medicine she wanted to go into, Ashley attended the University of Guelph’s veterinary office administration program and graduated in 2020. She volunteered here at DAC for a period of time to get more familiar with the different roles within the clinic. She then decided to return to school, studying the veterinary technician program at Georgian College. Ashley graduated in 2022 and is currently working towards becoming registered.
She has been enjoying her time at the clinic – gaining more and more experience each day. She has a passion for phlebotomy (performing blood draws) and ensuring all pets are comfortable during their stay.
Outside the clinic, Ashley enjoys completing puzzles, rock climbing, and spending time with her friends, family, and her beloved pets! She currently shares her home with her three Domestic Shorthair cats – Kalvin, Kallie, and Bosco; as well as her Domestic Longhair – Kosmo!
